FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS YOUR COVERAGE ON THE DAY?

Generally I start at the morning preparations at one home. If you are getting dressed close by then I can cover both houses but it all depends on time/distance involved. I finish when you sit down for your meal (speeches included if held before the meal is served). If you have plans for after the meal or would like dancing included there is an option to upgrade to first few dances.

HOW DO YOU WORK ON THE WEDDING DAY?

My style of photography is for most of the day I try to capture as much organically as possible, only stepping in when needs are to help make your day run smoothly, to setup couple photos, bridal party and requested group photographs. For the morning preps I aim to document as much as possible as I am looking to tell your story and do not want to overwhelm you or your family. I do help direct with the couple portraits but I keep everything simple and natural as possible, it's all done in a relaxed manner to avoid you feeling uncomfortable. My main approach is I want couples to enjoy their day to the full, to be able to look back at their photographs and recall an amazing day filled with love and laughter. I also like to document every part of your wedding including candids of your guests having a great day to provide the full story.

WHAT TIME DO WE NEED TO ALLOCATE FOR PHOTOGRAPHS ON OUR WEDDING DAY?

Prior to your wedding date I will go over all aspects of your day with you and a timeline will be produced so we all are aware of the time available to us.

I try to document as much as possible of your day, however, family, wedding party and couple portraits do require direction from me. I aim to have your family and bridal party photographs finished with minimal fuss. I recommend you keep your family group photographs to the people who are important to you as a long list takes time to organise people and couples generally get fed up. For the normal family setups generally 15/30 minutes is enough time.

For your couple photography, I like to take you away and let you enjoy being alone to take in your wedding day. This helps create the atmosphere for beautiful, natural photographs. It really is a lovely time to just be together. Generally no more than 30 mins is required but we can do as much or as little as you would like.

For the bridal party normally 15/20mins is sufficient.

WHAT IF YOU ARE SICK ON THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING?

I have a large network of fellow professional photographers and should the worst happen I can call upon this group and arrange for someone suitable to step in and take over.

ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes I am fully insured with public liability insurance.

HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS WILL BE AT OUR WEDDING?

My prices are listed for just myself, however, I can add an additional professional photographer as an optional extra. As well as more photographs benefits include morning prep at both houses, different angles throughout the day and more guest candids.

HOW MANY IMAGES DO WE RECEIVE?

Generally you will received approx 700 edited images from your day, more if you have booked an additional photographer or extended coverage.

DO YOU RELEASE RAW FILES?

Under no circumstances do I release raw files, this is to maintain control over the final presentation and quality of my work. Raw files are unprocessed, flat and lack the artistic adjustments and enhancements that reflect my creative vision and professional standards. By keeping these files private, I ensure that the final product represents the intended aesthetic and technical quality. Additionally, raw files are often large and require specific software and knowledge to process. Sharing only the edited images provides a polished and cohesive result, ensuring consistency and protecting the integrity of my brand.

HOW DO WE BOOK YOU AS OUR PHOTOGRAPHER?

Just drop me an email and I can get all the booking forms etc sent off to you. To secure your date a retainer of £350 is required. Your wedding date is not secure until the retainer has been received. This amount is deducted from your total. The next payment will be your balance due no later than 4 weeks before your wedding date. Payment can be made in cash or online bank transfer.
