MUSSENDEN TEMPLE & HARRY’S SHACK WEDDING // ELLIE & GRAHAM
Ellie is from England and Graham from Co Tyrone. They first met in Hong Kong before settling in South London. Choosing their wedding location, Graham’s roots drew them back to Northern Ireland, specifically to a spot filled with childhood memories. When it comes epic wedding locations, few places can rival the sheer beauty of the Antrim Coastline. They exchanged vows in the historic Mussenden Temple, perched dramatically on the cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean. This location is nothing short of breathtaking. For those visiting Northern Ireland for the first time, it was a jaw-dropping introduction to the area’s natural beauty. Even the wind, which whipped over the cliffedge, added a touch of wild beauty to the occasion and almost took Ellie’s veil as they headed out for the confetti throw.
After the drinks reception, guests took a ride on vintage coaches to Portstewart Strand for the reception in Harry’s Shack, a beachfront venue that perfectly captured the laid-back yet chic vibe of the day. The shack was beautifully decorated, with every detail reflecting the wedding's color scheme of soft, coastal tones.
For the menu, the couple chose to keep things fresh and in keeping with the location including a selection of fish dishes, showcasing the best of what the region had to offer. And what could be more perfect for a beachside wedding than gourmet fish and chips?
The speeches were another highlight of the day, blending humor and emotion. The best man kicked things off with games that had everyone laughing and set the tone. As the toasts continued, there were plenty of heartfelt moments that brought tears to the eye, along with light-hearted memories that had the room in stitches.
As night fell, Harry's Shack transformed into a party venue. The music kicked in, the floor packed with guests ready to dance the night away. Ellie even had time to slip away to change into another gorgeous dress. When I left the wedding, the party was in full swing, it had been an unforgettable day, filled with love, laughter, and the kind of natural beauty that only this setting can offer. Congratulations and thank you for having me part of your day x
